Job description
The Authority have an excellent opportunity for a Building Services Estimator within the Property Department.
Thie role would suit a candidate with good working knowledge of building services and with experience of surveying or estimating roles. The role is providing first class estimating services, focusing on building systems and services, maximising the ability of the department to provide procurement opportunities in line with organisational objectives, all to support the senior estimator and estimating team. The post-holder will be responsible for contributing to and providing a full range of Estimating duties, focusing on building services and systems, from project inception, through procurement and pre-contract through to post contract functions across the service. The post-holder will undertake such works in line with the Council’s agreed policies and procedures and shall support the Senior Estimator and Estimating team, along with the wider Property teams in the production and development of contractual documentation and pricing. The post-holder will ensure that policies and procedures are consistently applied, and relevant advice and guidance is supplied to staff, contractors and tenants. The post-holder will be required to liaise with contractors in conjunction with other managers and ensure contractors complete works to suitable specifications.
