Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Finance Data Analyst include:
- Partnering across various functions within Finance, Marketing and Operations
- Report on financial sales conversion performance, commission calculations, and reviewing KPI's, eventually offering insight and trend analysis for regular leadership reviews
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Formatting large data sets across varying channels and producing clear and concise Excel reports
- Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
- Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Data Analyst should have:
- An academic background in finance, accounting, economics, or a similar field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
- Strong analytical skills and an attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work well with others
