To support the business area in achieving its fraud error objective, providing evidence about a suspicious or questionable document using a variety of scientific processes and methods. Gather intelligence on travel and identity document fraud and provide specialist advice and forgery detection training to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Build/maintain internal/external stakeholder networks to share professional knowledge and know-how increasing awareness through formal/informal bulletins and document fraud working meetings.
• Provide training, mentoring and assistance to colleagues for their continuing professional development.
• Draw on own and others technical knowledge and experience to make professional judgements in the field of document verification.
• Identify document fraud threats/emerging trends and escalate to SMT and Operational Areas accordingly.
• Attending legal proceedings at court. Providing expert opinion on examination findings.
• Analyse suspect documents and manage and organise evidential/intelligence packages presented to enforcement agencies, ensuring all aspects of legislation/National Intelligence Model (NIM) and associated time scales are observed.
• Adhere to Health & Safety Policies, Data Protection, Security Policies and Equality Act and understand relevant employment law.

Additional Information
