Trainee Service Engineer required
Full-time - Permanent - Thornbury, Bristol BS35
We currently have a vacancy for a Trainee Service Engineer, to work at our facility in Thornbury.
The successful candidate will work in our main workshop alongside skilled engineers to learn all aspects of the services supplied by MechaTech Systems. The work will involve mechanical and electrical fault finding, service, repair, and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have some mechanical experience and will be looking to take their natural aptitude and experience to the next level in a specialist industry.
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: £24,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm; Friday 8am-3pm
Full training will be provided.
Duties will include:
- carrying out on-site and in-house inspection/repair/service of vacuum pumps and related equipment as required
- working daily at our facility in Thornbury, Bristol BS35
- being prepared to undertake overnight stays when required, even at short notice, to service the requirements of our nationwide customer base
To fulfil this position successfully, it is essential that you:
- can travel daily to our facility in Thornbury
- have some mechanical experience
- have a good pass rate in GCSE Maths and English
- have a logical approach to problem solving
- have good communication skills
- have good time management
- are able to work well within a team
- have a positive approach to learning new skills
- are willing to learn all aspects of the job role within a busy, industrial engineering environment
