Please see Job Description attached The on call requirement for this post is to join the General Anaesthetic & Obstetric on call rota. This is currently a 1:11 rota. Duties are to provide cover for emergency anaesthesia for all surgical specialities including DGH level paediatrics. There is a separate Consultant on call rota for Critical Care. There are resident trainees / speciality doctors covering Emergency theatres, Obstetrics and Critical Care 24 hours divided into daytime and night time shifts. Only life or limb threatening surgery should be undertaken after 21:30, following consultation with the On Call General Anaesthetic Consultant.
