Job description
Role: HVDC Project Engineer
Location: Remote - Occasional Travel to Scotland as required
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 Months Rolling Contract
Rates: £650 Daily Rate Inside IR35 via Umbrella
Clearance: BPSS
Roles & Responsibilities: - Responsible for the technical leadership within the HVDC package team to deliver the engineering design in line with the project engineering strategy.
- Responsible for the delivery of the engineering design in line with the Large Capital Projects governance framework
- Responsible for the management of 3rd parties for the effective delivery of specific engineering and design works required within the package, and for the quality management and verification of their work and outcomes.
- Responsible for the management of complex engineering interfaces across multiple project packages.
- Responsible for the resolution of engineering design issues within the package, and escalation where appropriate including appropriate communication and reporting requirements to ensure visibility of risks and issues to senior management teams.
- Responsible for the coordination of appropriate Technical Authorities for technical support and to provide independent expert opinion and approval across design reviews, key decisions, and risk reviews.
Requirements:
- Full UK Working Rights
- Electrical Engineering Degree Level Qualification
- 3-5 year's in on HVDC Projects
- Experience with Electrical Design Engineering
- Leadership Skills on Large Capital Projects
