Key Responsibilities

The primary focus of this role is to undertake childcare searches for private and corporate clients including the sourcing of nannies, maternity nurses, child-minders and nurseries. You will be responsible for the full life cycle of a childcare search from understanding the brief to sourcing, interviewing, checking and presenting candidates. This is not a sales role but you need to be able to “sell” your well-matched candidates to your clients. You will have previous experience working in either childcare or childcare recruitment as well as excellent interpersonal, organisational and administration skills. You will have strong customer service abilities and be willing to go the extra mile.

Main duties will include:

• Communicating with clients to gain a full understanding of their requirements.
• Advertising jobs through job boards and social media
• Screening candidates and conducting phone interviews
• Conducting thorough reference and legal checks (DBS)
• Overseeing the preparation of comprehensive reports for clients
• Building an internal database of candidate nannies and maintaining links with them
• Establishing availability within childcare settings
• Managing the increasing team

Person Specification

The ideal candidate for this job will possess the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience working in recruitment
• Confident and polite telephone manner (this position is 80% telephone based so you need to be happy to be on the phone)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi task an often complex workload
• Good computer skills (MS Excel & Word)
• Accurate with a good eye for detail
• Comfortable working within a small, flexible team
• Willingness to do anything needed to get the job done.

Supplementary Information

This role will be based in or around East Molesey, Surrey.

This role is offered on a part-time basis, totalling 20 hours per week spread over five days. Over time this role has the potential to grow to a full-time position, if so desired, or to take on more management responsibilities managing a team of consultants.
