Quay View School are looking to recruit an outstanding Teacher to join our Teaching team! We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed teacher who will expand the learning experiences of our pupils. The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting our young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.

Aspris Children's Services, Devon & Cornwall, is made up of two schools, Quay View School (Bere Alston) and Tor View School Tavistock) and three children's homes based in Tavistock, Gunnislake and Oakhampton. We specialise in care and education of children and young people aged 7-19 with autism, learning difficulties, challenging behaviour and SEMH. The safeguarding and wellbeing of our young people who may have experienced challenges in their lives is always paramount; along with encouragement to achieve their full potential.
Main responsibilities:

- Demand ambitious standards of achievement and attendance for all pupils, overcoming disadvantage and advancing equality, instilling a strong sense of accountability in employees for the impact of their work on pupils' outcomes.
- Secure excellent teaching through an analytical understanding of how pupils learn and of the core features of successful classroom practice and curriculum design, leading to rich curriculum opportunities and pupils' wellbeing.
- Establish an educational culture of "open classrooms" as a basis for sharing best practice within and between schools, drawing on and conducting relevant research and robust data analysis.
- Ensure that all colleagues understand their role, so that they are able to undertake their duties and responsibilities to a consistently high standard in the normal course of their duties.

Due to the location and requirements of the school, you will ideally hold a UK driving license.
