YHA are looking to recruit a Regional Activity Manager in the  region for 42.5 hours per week.

YHA deliver a variety of activity and educational packages throughout a number of hostel locations, and we are currently looking to recruit a Regional Activities Manager to co-ordinate these packages for Peaks & North West Cities region with most of your time focusing on the hostels within the Peak District

What will you be doing as a Regional Activity Manager?

• Working with Designate Operations Manager, National Educational Team and Hostel Activity Teams to ensure success of YHA groups and educational products.
• Supporting the Activity Managers to implement efficient ways of working within their teams.
• Assist the hostels with key recruitment and training of activity team for the season.
• Monitoring quality and consistency of product delivery against YHA standards.
• Liasing and advise national office groups team of activity packages within your region.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners.
• Work with hostel teams to implement and maintain standards to ensure LOtC accreditation in collaboration with YHA education team.

What Skills and Experience do you need to be a Regional Activity Manager?

• Previous experience of working within the outdoor learning or hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of safeguarding measures and their application essential.
• Knowledge and understanding of YHA and its customer base.
• Experience of leading sessions to groups of children and young people, ideally in an outdoor setting.
• Understanding of the national curriculum and how to link it to clear learning outcomes.
• Understanding of enrichment and participation techniques when working with children and young people.
• Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate, train and inspire others and previous experience of supervising a team and/or coordinating activities within a similar environment.
