This young family based in Chiswick are looking to secure their first family nanny
Start Date: March-April, 2024

Salary: £50,000 per annum

This Family got in touch with Arthur’s House as they would love to find an energetic, calm and knowledgeable nanny to join their family of three. Experience working with babies would be essential as your charge will be aged around 10 months on start date. This is the first time the family will have a nanny at home so they are looking for someone professional and capable who will be able to ‘hit the ground running’. They would love to secure someone who will stay with them for years to come as the family grows and are keen to foster a healthy relationship with their nanny as well as find someone who bonds extremely well with their active and energetic boy.
The Role:
- Caring for the son both in the home and out of the home. This little boy loves swimming so it would be great if the nanny does also!
- Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for the child to support him to navigate the world he is growing up in
- Keep on top of admin related to the child e.g. nappy supplies, food shopping, name tagging clothes etc as needed
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks as needed and help assist with weaning and potty training as your charge grows up. When time, the family would really appreciate help with batch cooking for their little one - if you’re a good cook and enjoy to do it, that would be great
- Help to foster good manners in your charge and act as an excellent role model for him
- Manage the child’s daily routine, including nap time, playtime, and outings and use your initiative to guide the family on this as needs change related to the child’s development
- Keep an eye on educational related play and help support your charge’s development
- Help with the child’s laundry and keep bedrooms and play areas clean and tidy
- Help keep an eye on developmental milestones and the child’s general wellbeing and health - raising any concerns if needed
- Attend doctor’s appointments if needed and administer medicine with approval from parents
- Communicate with parent(s) clearly. Be emotionally intelligent and keen to create a trusting relationship with the parents and the son.
The person:
To be considered for the role, the following attributes and qualifications will be needed
- A positive attitude and an energetic approach to the role
- Fluent English
- Someone who is happy to work in collaboration with the parents as well as in a sole charge position
- A nanny who genuinely enjoys their job!
- Excellent tenure in previous roles alongside excellent references
- Paediatric First Aid Certification
- Up to date DBS check and the Right to Work in the UK
- Childcare qualifications would be preferred. If you have previous experience of working in a nursery setting that would be a bonus
