Job description

Due to continued growth the position of Logistics Manager has become available to join our successful team based in Heathrow.

As Heathrow embarks upon its 7th regulatory period “H7”, Costain was awarded two lots as Major Project Partner and Asset Renewal Partner for Terminal 2 – The Queen’s Terminal.

This role will involve you working closely with the Heathrow Logistics team to identify and agree lay down areas and site compounds providing the documents to support permit application for these areas. You will work with Project Managers to create consistent logistics plans which will be live up to date documents. You will ensure the logistics needs, from traffic management to waste away, are met across specific tranches of work - Tunnels, ARP, Rail and Baggage. You will liaise with the Project Managers, Sub Contractors, Site teams and key stakeholders to monitor compliance and understand each projects specific requirements.

Role Requirements

Understanding of Airport Logistic requirements 

Experience of creating consistent logistics plans

· Work with the Construction Manager and site team to identify requirements and then ensure all logistics are in place and performing as expected

· Attend Site Meetings to identify logistic requirements supporting in creation of logistics plan and use of safe walking routes

· Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive

· Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way

· Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs
