Job Title: Manufacturing SDU Resource and Cost Base Lead

Location: Samlesbury

Salary: £52,084+ dependent of skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Ensuring accurate and timely submissions of datasets into Finance to support the deadlines associated with IBP(Integrated Business Plan)/ Cost base reforecasts
• Providing support to changes in manning requirements in line with programme demands, ensuring Resource Change (RC) Forms are submitted for approval where necessary
• Supporting regular Air Manufacturing resource sessions, providing updates on MSDU adherence to IBP, escalating deviations from IBP requirements and providing options for solutions
• Maintain and develop MSDU resource models to ensure accurate and up to date information relating to resourcing is available
• Monitoring utilisation metrics to be the ‘conscience’ for the different areas of responsibility regarding levels of overtime, absence, holiday and diversion spend
• Feeding utilisation data into Production Planning teams to inform relevant plans and the ability of each operational area to discharge plans
• Supporting Head of Planning and Head of PPL with submissions for cost base reforecasts and reporting on cost base metrics across home departments

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Working knowledge and understanding of all resource management and cost base principles and activities
• Ability to work cross functionally and with both internal and external stakeholders
• Good communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Desirable:

• Understanding trends and forecasting to help wider business in making decisions.
• Experience or knowledge of IBP

The Manufacturing Service Delivery Unit Resource and Cost Base team:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Resource & Cost Base Lead to join our Manufacturing Service Delivery Unit (MSDU) planning team.The role reports to the Head of Planning – MSDU, and is responsible for ensuring the management and support of resource allocation and adherence to IBP across the various MSDU businesses, including 3B Machining, 510 Carbon, AFAF and Central Treatments Facility.

This role will provide you with the opportunity and exposure to work across various MSDU departments, gathering information on the resource required and ensuring they are in the right place, having an input into the creation of IBP submissions and providing production plans with intelligent information regarding resource performance and utilisation.You will work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. The role will give you the opportunity to build your network and provide a great opportunity for future progression within the team.
