Overview

A well-renowned business in Guildford are looking for a Cash Collection Officer with strong Excel skills to join them on a permanent basis in the New Year.

Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 DOE

The Role

This position exists to provide operational support to the firm’s finance functions. To deal with company finances and client money held in the firms client money bank accounts.  The job holder will provide operational transactional support & undertake a number of the day to day transactions for MEX in addition to HHC. These duties will be in accordance with the firm’s financial controls and external auditors’ requirements. The job holder understands the HHC requirements as a Debt Management Company. The holder of this position is expected meet the principals of fair treatment for customers, and work always in the best interests also of the company’s clients.

Responsibilities

• Undertake financial transactions
• Maintain accurate client accounts and update internal records
• Ensure all funds received are allocated correctly and distributed to the appropriate creditors when necessary
• Help to enable the completion and review of timely and accurate reconciliations of all client money accounts.
• Calculate and draw fees due to the firm
• Liaise with third parties (bank, creditors and clients) to fully investigate payment issues.
• Ensure FCA rules are adhered to and strict daily deadlines are met

Essential Requirements

• Highly computer literate
• Very good knowledge/experience of Microsoft Excel
• Detail conscious
• Good analytical reasoning
• Effective communication
• Customer service orientation

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Financial services/Accounting/Bookkeeping
