Requirements for the role:

• Registration with Social Work England.
• Experience of management within children’s social care services with specific knowledge and interest in Special Guardianship and connected persons.
• Excellent written, verbal, communication and analytical skills as well as an ability to build relationships with practitioners, families and partners.
• Enthusiasm and tenacity to lead, shape and develop a committed team of social workers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Team Manager seeking a permanent opportunity within an Kinship service. This local authority based in South West London are seeking a passionate and resilient manager who is committed to achieving positive outcomes for the children and young people that require a service from the team.

As Team Manager in the Kinship Team, you will be responsible for leading a committed group of at least five social workers. You will be working collaboratively with your colleagues across the department and with partners to deliver high-quality and responsive social work to the families we will be assessing and supporting. We value each staff member in the service and want each and every one to be a leader and champion of exemplary practice.

The service is continuously developing through actively reducing caseloads, extra training and working through the Signs of Safety Innovation Project. This allows you to use your own ideas to shape the way you work with the service users.
