About the Role
Working within the Finance and Procurement team the Warehouse and Logistics Manager will be responsible for the efficient operation of the warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall inventory management ensuring goods in and goods out are managed according to lean principals. The Warehouse Manager will also work closely with the Health and Safety team to ensure the warehouse is operated in a fully complaint manner.
You will be responsible for:
- Responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing warehouse operations.
- Responsible for managing bonded stock in 3rd party warehouse.
- Working to ensure the warehouse environment and equipment adhere to health and safety guidance and compliance.
- Play an active role in the running of the site to best utilise space and to promote greater efficiency.
- Manage warehouse reports weekly, investigate reasons for variances and to instigate corrective action where necessary.
- Effective planning and receipting of all equipment travelling in and out of the warehouse.
- Coach and mentor staff, conducting regular 1:1’s with all warehouse staff to support development needs.
- Updating key stakeholders on stocking levels, advising on any delays or updates relevant to the availability of equipment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.
- Work closely with the engineering teams to understand and pre-empt stock requirements.
- Supervise the loading and unloading of vehicles ensuring it is done safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular 1:1s with all Warehouse staff to support their long-term professional development.
- Ongoing review of Warehouse requirements and operations.
- The timely delivery of goods and materials within agreed “Time, Cost, Quality” matrix.
- Availability of stock in line with business needs.
- Ensuring regular stock reviews with the procurement team on Fast moving Sku lines.
- Maintaining stock accuracy in line with forecasted demand.
