Role: Solicitor – Personal Injury (Noise Induced Hearing Loss)
Place of work: Glasgow city centre (Hybrid role)
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (35 hours per week)
Are you an experienced personal injury solicitor, passionate about pursuing justice and winning compensation for your clients?
If the answer is yes, then we have the perfect opportunity for you to join us at Jones Whyte.
We have an immediate opening for a solicitor to join our Noise Induced Hearing Loss team, due to continued growth.
You will be dedicated to pursuing compensation for clients who have worked in noisy workplaces, causing hearing loss. As a key part of a team of skilled lawyers, you will work to obtain maximum compensation for our clients, including funding for hearing aids and private treatment. You will be able to make a positive difference to your client’s day-to-day lives.
You will investigate the factual and legal complexities of noise induced hearing loss claims prior to litigation, and then present the claims as personal injury actions in Court. You should expect many of your client matters to reach Pre Trial Meeting stage or Proof.
We will consider candidates with all levels of post-qualification experience. Ideally, you will have a strong background in pursuing personal injury actions in the Sheriff Court, the All Scotland Personal Injury Court, and the Court of Session.
You will be able to work autonomously, with support and supervision from colleagues. You will have experience of written and oral Court advocacy and instructing Counsel.
You will be client focussed and proactive, with a positive attitude and flexible approach.
A strong team player who is caring and compassionate, will be well-suited to make a big impact here.
