Location: Yorkshire & Humber
Full Time/Perm
Salary – £25,000pa DOE
Qualifications are not essential, employer will provide – Level 5 teaching qualification, Assessor’s qualification and IQA qualification
Overview:
Trigon Recruitment are recruiting for a reputable Training Provider for a Hospitality Tutor which will provide assistance to learners in their apprenticeship journey, delivering up to Level 3 Hospitality. As the tutor you will be fostering the development of their skills and their practical application in the professional setting. The role involves creating and managing individual learning plans and targets, assessing work, delivering constructive feedback, and guiding learners to additional support services as needed.
Responsibilities of a Hospitality Tutor:
- Plan and deliver an apprenticeship training programme that ensures robust individualised learning plans, adheres to an approved scheme of work and the Education Inspection Framework quality standards.
- Ensure that all apprenticeship standard requirements, including functional skills, are met, ensuring learner progress is effectively reviewed and tracked to ensure timely and overall completion.
- Use electronic portfolio system to record learner interventions, reviews, upload work and progress and all records of off the job training.
- Embed functional skills into delivery to ensure all learners are stretched and challenged appropriately with their English and math’s skills.
- Ensure learner readiness for end point assessment (EPA) and set SMART targets on action plans to support them to achieve distinction level wherever possible.
- Support employers in understanding their responsibility relating to on and off the job training, including 90% employer attendance at progress reviews.
- Ensure all learner records and reporting are kept up to date and provided in a timely manner to support management reporting and audit requirements.
- Undertake assessment, portfolio evidencing and tracking of achievement using the e-portfolio and tracking systems.
- Where applicable, generate teaching and learning resources as required or use the pre-approved resources available.
- Provide robust and impartial information, advice, and guidance to learners throughout their learner journey including exit advice in relation to future career prospects and employment opportunities.
- Support the wider personal development needs of each apprentice, ensuring that all support plans are in place to deliver a holistic programme of personal and professional development for everyone.
- Participate in quality assurance activities working closely with the quality team, including observations, work scrutiny and curriculum deep dives.
- Manage learner and employer feedback through surveys as per the company requirements and achieve overall 95% learner and employer satisfaction.
- To conduct Health and Safety monitoring activities and ensure employers and apprentices are provided with necessary information on health and safety, equal opportunities, programme content, programme delivery and assessment arrangements.
- Work with employers to identify additional learning opportunities and work with the business development team to manage client relationships and future partnership opportunities.
- Timely reporting of any welfare and safeguarding concerns for apprentices, following policies and company procedures.
- Complete relevant documentation concerning contractual compliance, in accordance with compliance framework and funding body requirements.
- Participate as a full member of the delivery team and contribute to the development, promotion, review, and delivery of apprenticeship programmes including curriculum development, enhancement, standardisation, and self-assessment.
Requirements needed for a Hospitality Skills Tutor:
- Teaching qualification at L3+ (PTLLS/AET+). (Desirable)
- Assessor qualification. (Desirable)
- Driver with access to own vehicle.
