Working hours: 39hrs p/w
Shift Pattern: Open to discussion - multiple options available!
Hourly rate: £19.69 p/h, plus overtime available.

About the role
- To diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, inspection, servicing, and parts replacement in accordance with Central Engineering Standards and Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure accurate records are kept especially VOR log, wheel retorque log, 14-day tyre check sheet, fuel and oil leak check sheet, Inspection sheets, servicing sheets and parts booking sheet.
- Manage breakdown calls, carryout roadside assistance & road testing of vehicles. Ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery
About you
- You must have a minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (City & Guilds level 1 & 2)
- Are you fully conversant with the overhaul and repair of vehicle systems including engines, automatic gearboxes, drive trains, compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, braking systems, steering systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, and basic auto electrics?
- To be fully conversant with the safe operation of workshop equipment including brake rolling road testers, tracking gauges, hydraulic vehicle lifts, pressurised oil and waste systems, battery chargers and starters, trolley jacks, pit jacks, scaffolding, pressure wash and automatic washing equipment, digital smoke readers, headlamp alignment testers, hydraulic jacks and testing equipment, drilling machines, torque wrenches, pedestal grinders and general portable equipment (i.e. Air guns, drills, electric and pneumatic hand tools etc)
- To be fully familiar with all relevant diagnostic equipment including lap top diagnostics, multi meters, temperature gauges, micrometres, vernier gauges.
- To have basic skills in gas and electric welding, burning and basic body, trim repairs
- Are you trained to replace vehicle glazing both bonded and gasket?
