Job description
IPS Group have been instructuted by a Global Insurance business to recruit for a Statutory Accountant that will report to the Head of Statutory Reporting within the Group segment of Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of subsidiary accounts and to supporting the Group Annual and Financial Reporting process. There will be an expectation to undertake Quarterly control work to reconcile key areas of the Balance Sheet (IFRS 15 and IFRS 16).
Duties:
Annual Reporting
– Assist in the maintenance of Financial Statements software and ensure all data required for Accounts production, Group and Subsidiaries can be sourced.
– Assist in the product of year-end instructions/reporting.
– Support the preparation of the annual Group Report and Accounts.
– Prepare Financial Statements taking it from TB to Sign Off by the the Auditors.
Ad-Hoc
– Assist in the implemetation of Tagetik as a new Accounts Production platform
Candidate Specification
– Good working knowledge of Financial Controls and Governanance.
– Statutory Accounts preparation experience.
– Consolidation and IFRS experience.
– Qualified Accountant
– Microsoft Office to Intermediate level.
– Experience within the Insurance sector is hugely desirable.
