What's the opportunity
The Purchasing Business Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders in direct/indirect and prototype sourcing, supplier quality, programme purchasing, and cost engineering to gather, document, and analyse business requirements, processes, and workflows. The Business Analyst will also be involved in identifying areas for process improvement and recommending solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
What you will do:
- Requirement Elicitation and Analysis:
o Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges and document and analyse business requirements - Stakeholder Communication:
o Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.
o Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
o Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to various audiences. - Process mapping and documentation:
o Collaborate with stakeholders to map and document business processes.
o Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency enhancement.
o Recommend process improvements and assist in their implementation. - Project Management:
o Create detailed documentation including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. - Support the ERP Implementation:
o Support the business change management activities (ex. Training, feedback, etc.)
o Understand and develop metrics and reports to support business needs
o Become an SME/Super User to support the adoption of the new system
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.
- Proficiency in requirement-gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in conducting workshops for business requirement gathering sessions and complete business process mapping, using tools such as Visio, Miro, Lucidchart, etc.
- Experience in purchasing processes in the automotive industry is advantageous
- Experience in using agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc., is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A positive, proactive and collaborative attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing business needs.
