Key Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to support the regional payroll organization, working with a matrixed group of stakeholders and vendors to ensure great employee experience and regulatory compliance from a payroll delivery perspective. Being accountable for the end-to-end time and attendance, and absence management for your area of responsibility. Key responsibilities:
Supporting in the maintaining of employee data to ensure system access and accurate time recording.
Extract the T&A data and provide the same to payroll providers in line with the payroll processes.
Troubleshoot issues pertaining to the use of the T&A system and processes.
Daily review of interface logs and perform corrective entries where errors or mis-clocks have been identified.
Point of contact for system and access questions and queries
Support in testing for any new implementations or added features to the T&A system.
Regulatory and Ad hoc reporting and audit support
Balance, review and approve processed totals from payroll team.
Be risk aware and help identify, report, mitigate and track risks in the T&A delivery process.
Support the Payroll team lead in providing necessary data and clarifications to questions raised by audit – internal and external.
Manage the timely submission of RICC controls.
Participate in Time and Attendance initiatives including system upgrades, communication of changes to People Partners, testing and documenting all changes for historical and record retention policies, project support as needed.
Interfaces with People Partner and People Advisors to support employee/ manager queries.
Identify improvement opportunities in regional processes and raise them to global process managers.
Understanding and leading adherence to the local labour law and EU directives where appropriate
Providing end to end support of absence management
Who we are looking for
You are data, systems and process savvy in the Payroll, Time & Attendance domain and are excited about putting your deep expertise at work in the transition into new technology and processes at Maersk.
You want to propel your career further by gaining unique project experience in an international environment and would like to play a key role in building the future payroll delivery landscape and solutions.
As we progress with the transformation you are comfortable with your role changing shape and scope. You will be responsible for high quality delivery of T&A and Payroll Services and continuously driving improvements to ensure great employee experience process optimization and compliance.
• Significant hands-on experience in Time & Attendance processes, within a complex international organization
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of compliance and legal regulations for payroll & benefits and local labour laws with particular focus on time T&A and absence
• Broader HR Operations experience as well as exposure to an outsourced payroll model would be a benefit
• Ability to effectively engage and mobilize diverse local HR stakeholders
• A proactive, ‘let’s get it done’ attitude geared towards continuous improvement
• Flexibility and adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, developing project environment, taking ownership and setting directions with minimal guidance
• Resilience: the change process, is anything but straightforward; accepting uncertainty and bouncing back from setbacks while keeping your enthusiasm is a tall order, but we need it
• Collaborative working style, fostering cooperation and teamwork to find solutions
• Fluency in English is essential
• Highly analytical approach with a strong eye for detail
• Structured working style and focus on delivering results as per agreed timescales and scope.
