Logistics Operations Administrator
£26,000 per annum

Pertemps are seeking a Logistics Operations Assistant who'll thrive amidst drivers, management, and our valued customers. This role encompasses diverse transport administration tasks, with a primary focus on our Pallet Business. From coordinating collections and deliveries to managing queries, this role is integral to our operational success.

Responsibilities include:
  • Investigating customer queries
  • Producing and resolving issues raised on the KPI reports
  • Ensuring prompt responses to emails and telephone calls
  • Managing claims for delays and damages raised by customers
  • Resolving customer invoice queries
  • Working with the storage team to manage inbound storage, storage picks and the despatch of stored pallets
  • Reporting pallet discrepancies and charging depots accordingly
  • Accepting or disputing pallet queries on the pallet portal before deadline
  • Printing labels and bar codes
  • Assisting with the efficient routing of deliveries and collections, and planning
  • Routing using MaxOptra Software (training provided)
  • Providing cover for holiday and other absence
  • Liaise and provide support to the drivers, warehouse staff and the sales team
Ideal Candidate:
We're looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual keen on learning and contributing to our close-knit team. Prior experience in a transport office is essential, coupled with exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in IT. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and TMS systems is required. Don't worry if you're not well-versed in our client's operating systems; comprehensive training will be provided!

Work Schedule:
Expect a shift pattern is generally with the standard hours from 08:00am to 18:00pm, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility may be needed based on workload and business demands, including one Saturday morning in every four.

Additional Details:
  • Shifts: 10-hour day shift, Monday to Friday
  • Potential for yearly bonuses
  • Preferred experience in customer service and administration (minimum 1 year)
  • A driving license is preferred
