Job description

An exciting role has become available as a Planning Manager reporting to the Head of Supply Chain for an expanding company in the FMCG industry

Looking for supply chain experience and experience in demand, supply, inventory planning.

Supervising a team of 3

• The role will be reporting into the Head of Supply Chain and you will be responsible for planning and organising the supply of product through optimising inventory investment and advising on requirements, proactively communicating the business intelligence necessary to achieve relevant customer service goals.

• You will act as the key interface between demand forecasting, supply planning and logistics within the supply chain, to ensure maximum availability at optimised inventory and cost levels for current and future business requirements, delivering the financial targets in an effective and efficient manner.

• To manage and ensure effective production plans are created, communicated and delivered and to manage stock availability to achieve delivery on time and in full targets.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Working knowledge of modern purchasing, manufacturing, material flow and improvement strategies (e.g. lean, continuous flow, inventory planning and control, Demand Driven MRP) and the ability to integrate these ideas into the operation where appropriate.
• Working knowledge in all areas of supply chain including demand planning, supply planning, and inventory planning.
• Demonstrated understanding of the key drivers within the manufacturing environment
• Minimum 3 years planning experience in FMCG retail supply or relevant industry.
• Experience using ERP / MRP systems
