What you’ll do:
- Carryout electrical PPM and reactive repairs as required
- Basic electrical repairs such as changing of lamps (includes emergency lights), battery replacement, safety inspections to e/m lighting systems
- To work closely with and to support the technical team as required.
- To support the front of house team with room inspections and to engage with events as required.
- Robustly manage all sub-contractors and suppliers under your remit to ensure seamless performance
- Ensure value for money across all areas the operation
A full list of responsibilities can be found in the attached job description What you bring: - A recognised apprenticeship or HNC in an Electrical Engineering discipline with a commitment to undergo continuing professional development
- Skilled in ‘hands on’ maintenance, diagnosis and repair of a range of plant and equipment and capable of anticipating potential faults or problems which may occur within the full range of building services
- Ability to prioritise own workload with minimal supervision and use of own initiative
- Ability to work quickly and calmly, especially under pressure and in emergency situations
- Flexible approach, ability to request and offer support from other team members as required
- Good verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills
- Experience of using databases, spread sheets and other computer based applications including Microsoft Office
- A working knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation
- Knowledge of PPM maintenance systems (SFG20 and PAS55)
- Experienced in the safe use of hand tools, power tools and test equipment.
