We have a requirement for a Lead Subcontracts Engineer for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.

We are looking for SCM professionals, in possession of significant construction industry experience, primarily in an offshore environment. We have a requirement for a Lead Subcontracts Engineer for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.

ROLE

We are looking for SCM professionals, in possession of significant construction industry experience, primarily in an offshore environment. We particularly encourage people with the following background to apply for the role: Supply Chain Management, Legal / Contracts / Claims Management, Project / Commercial Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A wide range of responsibilities, non-exhaustively listed below. 

• Supply Chain Management plans and subcontract development & delivery.
• Risk / opportunity management.
• Human Resource planning.
• Internal and external stakeholders management.
• Direct negotiations with selected suppliers
• Commercial analyses; normalization and bid evaluation. Incorporate technical evaluations from disciplines like Engineering, Planning, QHSE, Contracts / Legal, etc.
• Participate in internal gate review meetings.
• Bid summaries and recommendations for award.
• Supplier relationship management.
• Post performance evaluations.

REQUIREMENTS

What you will bring to the team

• Bachelor level or equivalent in a technical, commercial or legal discipline
• Significant experience in a project management role, ideally within the construction and or maritime industry.
• Deep understanding of Supply Chain Management and Subcontracting processes
• Great communicator and negotiator, with the ability to converse in English in both written and spoken word at a very high level.
• Advanced user of contemporary software tools. SAP and Ariba experience would be beneficial
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to focus teams and the business.
