Job description

What you will do in your working day

You will work in the Workplace Health & Safety team supporting with day to day tasks learning how Amazon Safety works and delivers for its customers.
On a daily basis you can expect to:

• Implementing safety initiatives at your site
• Drive behavioural culture change programmes
• Ensure robust reporting regimes are in place for Health & Safety statistics
• Review and audit arrangements for Health & Safety statistics.

You will work alongside the core safety team supporting with day to day tasks, learning how Amazon Safety works and delivers for its customers.

As you develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours that the apprenticeship is made up of, you will become an integral part of the team, delivering the highest quality of service to our internal and external customers; ensuring everyone consistently operates safely.

The training you will be getting

Safety, Health & Environment Apprenticeship Level 3 includes:

• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
• Work based delivery of Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
• Full company induction including health and safety
• 20% Off-the-job time will be given for study / assignments
• Monthly contact session with your PV trainer
• Internal training provided by your employer and workplace mentor

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

On successful completion of the apprenticeship you will be eligible to apply for Safety Technician roles within the H&S team. 
Upon completion learners will be able to join the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) at TechIOSH level.
