Job description

We are looking for new volunteers to join our committee and support the branch by attending our monthly meetings, helping to organise events, communicating with our members and attending committee meetings.

What will you be doing?

Headway, the brain injury association, is a charity set up to give help and support to people affected by brain injury.  The Headway Berwick branch is run by a small, dedicated group of volunteers. We hold monthly meetings for brain injury survivors, their families and carers, with around 30 people attending each month. We also arrange regular social activities for our members. We are a friendly and creative group, we often have musicians playing at our monthly meetings and enjoy hosting a variety of sessions to offer different experiences to our members.

We are looking for new volunteers to join our committee and support the branch by attending our monthly meetings, helping to organise events, communicating with our members and attending committee meetings.

What are we looking for?

We would be particularly interested in hearing from you if you have any of the following skills or experience:

• IT skills including social media
• Legal expertise
• Fundraising
• Experience of working with people with a brain injury or other disability

What difference will you make?

Headway Berwick is run entirely by volunteers, The position would be of interest to anyone looking to give something back to their local community, prepared to share their skills and support brain injured survivors, their families and carers. 

As a volunteer you will be part of a team and will have the opportunity to add your unique skills and experience while learning from others.  Our volunteers support and shape our work , as well as help us achieve our purpose to improve the lives of survivors of a brain injury.
