Job description

A local authority based in London is seeking an Employment Lawyer for an initial period of three months. This is a temporary position.

 

The successful Employment Lawyer will be required to handle a full remit caseload of both contentious and non-contentious matters. Contentious work will relate to employment tribunal matters and non-contentious issues will relate to disciplinary and grievance issues, unfair dismissal, discrimination, drafting employment contracts, equal pay, redundancy, and TUPE matters.

 

Candidates interested and able to pick up some education work relating to SEN matters will be advantageous.

 

Previous local government experience is beneficial. The role is 90% Employment and 10% Education.

 

This is a hybrid working role with a requirement to attend the office a couple of times each month. Candidates must have a current practising certificate.
