We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join our client’s team in Maidstone, Kent. As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality cardiac diagnostic and monitoring services. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the development and enhancement of our cardiac services, ensuring exceptional patient care and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of complex cardiac investigations, including electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, exercise tolerance tests, and Holter monitoring.
- Lead and supervise a team of cardiac physiologists, providing guidance, training, and support in their professional development.
- Coordinate and prioritize workload, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Interpret and analyse test results, generating accurate and comprehensive reports for clinicians and patients.
- Assist in the implementation and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives, adhering to relevant standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
- Keep abreast of new developments and advancements in cardiac diagnostic techniques and equipment, implementing changes as appropriate.
- Promote a patient-centred approach, ensuring a compassionate and empathetic environment for patients.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain patient safety and compliance.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Cardiac Physiology or a related field.
- Significant experience as a Cardiac Physiologist, with a focus on advanced diagnostic procedures.
- Registration with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) or equivalent professional body.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues.
- Excellent technical skills in performing and interpreting a wide range of cardiac investigations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant guidelines, protocols, and best practices in cardiac diagnostics.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping abreast of emerging trends in the field.
