Old Etonian Association
Location
Eton, Berkshire | United Kingdom
Job description
An exciting and unique opportunity to build a 21st-century engagement programme and sector-leading digital community for one of the world’s leading alumni bodies.
The Old Etonian Association (OEA) is a vibrant independent organisation with some 18,000 members, focused on ensuring that Old Etonians retain a sense of connection to Eton College and to each other through events, communications and other services. It is the vision of the OEA Committee to develop a next-generation alumni association: an active, engaged and diverse community of Old Etonians, parents and honorary members, supported by industry-leading technology, where members of all ages, across the world, can easily make meaningful connections socially and professionally.
The Director of the OEA will lead a team based within Eton College with the purpose of building up and enhancing the OEA, working closely with and complementing the Eton College Development and Engagement teams. The new Director will provide leadership and oversight in devising and executing the strategy for realising the Committee’s vision for the OEA; they will build relationships, deliver a tech-enabled programme of services and strengthen engagement by implementing best practice in alumni relations and community engagement.
The successful candidate will be technologically proficient, collaborative and customer-focused, with a talent for building relationships across complex organisations and managing successful teams. Candidates with experience working in alumni relations, development, donor care, communications and/or marketing or membership associations are encouraged to apply. Experience of working in a UK school environment is not essential, but candidates will be supportive of independent education in general and the values and ethos of the OEA and Eton College in particular.
Interested candidates are invited to contact RSAcademics to arrange an informal and confidential discussion about the post:
