Qualified Nursery Practitioner
Salary 25k

We are recruiting for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner - Level 3, for an 'Outstanding' nursery School, located within distance to Orpington

The nursery is open all year round, 7 am - 7 pm, only closed at weekends and bank holidays. Shifts can start between 6:45 am and 10 am, finishing between 3:45 pm and 7 pm. Shifts are 9 hours with an hour unpaid lunch break.

Duties:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Supervise and engage children in play, both indoors and outdoors
- Assist with feeding, diapering, and personal care routines
- Monitor children's health and well-being, including administering medication if necessary
- Communicate with parents and provide updates on their child's progress
- Maintain a clean and organised nursery space

SKILLS:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for children
- Strong organisational skills to plan and implement activities
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with young children
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and follow safety protocols
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
