iO Associates have partnered with a global food manufacturer in the search for a Manufacturing Manager to join the team. The role is Onsite based Wigston UK. A highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Manager is needed to join a team responsible for evaluating suppliers and/or manufacturing sites to supply my client, a leading food manufacturing company, with food-safe materials or products of the right quality produced on sites that meet my client's Safety and Quality standards.

As the Manufacturing Team Manager, you play a pivotal role in driving positive outcomes by overseeing the development of your team and leading by example. Your primary focus will be on managing people, plant, product, and process delivery, ensuring site critical metrics, team performance, and operational efficiency.

Salary: £40,000 per annum with 10 % bonus
Shift Pattern - Double Days The shift is Monday to Friday on Double Days with the hours 6am-2pm and 2pm to 10pm.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and coach team members to meet role requirements and expectations.
• Conduct regular monitoring and provide feedback to enhance team members' skills and competencies.
• Ensure production targets are met, deploying labor plans efficiently.
• Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and key efficiency metrics.
• Utilize relevant systems for robust management information, including Autostore, Workday, SAP, SFOL, Absence Manager, etc.
• Facilitate effective communication between operations, management, support teams, and engineering.
• Emphasize the importance of high levels of customer service and identify ways to improve customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, improved standards, and increased efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems and procedures.
• Maintain hygiene audit standards and ensure completion of relevant documentation.
• Resolve problems in staff, production, and equipment areas.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills, demonstrating high standards of behaviour, honesty, and integrity.
• Effective communication skills with a track record of improving team standards and efficiency.
• Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Lean/Excellence tools and techniques.
• Track record of delegating, empowering, influencing, and motivating teams.
• Ability to develop and support people through coaching and feedback.
• Positive approach to self-development and adapting to change.
