CALLING ALL PHYSIOTHERAPY STUDENTS GRADUATING THIS YEAR!

Are you looking for a rotational post within the acute setting through a range of specialities? This would be a great opportunity for new graduates, professionals looking to return to practice or to gain experience in this area or setting.

This role would provide an ideal opportunity to join to large team of therapists within areas such as MSK Outpatients, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Respiratory, Cardiothoracics, Elderly, Paediatrics, Stroke, Pelvic Health and Surgery/Vascular.

This would give you the opportunities and support to build on existing knowledge and skills, within a supportive team and environment, to start or continue a successful career within the NHS.

Main duties include:
• To undertake the assessment and management of patients and liaise with the multi-disciplinary team as appropriate.
• To utiilse a range of skills and therapeutic handling in the management of patients
• To communicate information, which may be sensitive, in an understandable form
• To be an active member of in-service training
• To maintain patient records in line with HCPC, CSP and Trust guidelines.
• To take responsibility for own continued professional development
• To participate in evening, weekend and oncall services as required.
• To identify opportunities to improve the service for staff and patients alike.

• To plan, manage and priorities own caseload
• To gain consent for treatment and motivate/persuade patients who may have barriers to understanding, to comply with treatment
• To assess and diagnose conditions using information from multiple sources and provider relevant treatment programmes
• To demonstrate the ability to carry out physiotherapy assessment and interventions, including manual techniques and therapeutic handling
• To deliver training and advice to patients and carers as appropriate
• To plan and review patient care treatment programmes
• To produce timely and informative reports and discharge summaries as required
• To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner
• To be responsible for own caseload, working without direct supervision. Senior supports is always available and clinical work is routinely assessed
• To be guided by professional standards
