Job description
As HR Officer, you bring a wealth of experience in orchestrating the intricacies of human resources with finesse. The core purpose of your role is to support and maintain an inclusive work environment with the aim of ensuring a welcoming and positive studio experience - ultimately enabling all team members to thrive and deliver outstanding work.
- You place great emphasis on the importance of equity, diversity and inclusion and champion our values & behaviours.
- You create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the team, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally. You demonstrate exceptional HR knowledge and contribute to the overall experience within the studio.
- You provide valuable and personable advice and support to the team with relation to people policy and practice throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding new team members and managing performance.
- You effectively manage employee leave requests, updating calendars and schedules promptly while ensuring timely responses.
- You manage the recruitment of emerging and established talent using different methods that are tailored to the specific needs of each department. You ensure the best possible opportunity of finding the right person for the role, improving organisational performance and increasing diversity and inclusion.
- You pro-actively identify and plan learning and development opportunities working closely with heads of departments.
- You ensure compliance across people policies, processes, documentation and contracts, addressing any issues in a discreet and timely manner.
- You take ownership of a variety of HR communication channels and correspondence, such as our HRIS, employee handbook, employee and freelance contracts and HR letters and documentation.
- You play a crucial role in the coordination and implementation of our talent management plan.
- You work closely with heads of departments to manage each appraisal cycle including requests for 360 Feedback, setting goals, discussing career development and training.
- You take ownership of employee wellbeing initiatives, including the management of our benefit programs.
- You assist in leading on equality, diversity, and inclusion, driving forward ambitions and actively contribute to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
- You help measure, manage, and improve positive impact performance for our employees, reporting on KPIs as required.
- You manage our sponsorship license membership; arranging Visa applications for applicants with specialist skills.
- You independently push ahead with your own tasks, supporting with the management, development and implementation of best practice people policies and processes, taking initiative and seeking clarification if and when you need more input or information.
- You proactively keep up to date with HR best practice and legislation, ensuring all people policies and procedures are up to date with employment law and reflective of our business.
