Construction ManagerJob Type - PermanentLocation – BirminghamMy client is currently recruiting a Construction Managerwith Rail/Station experience to join their team on a major HS2 station build in Birmingham.The successful Construction Manager will be responsible for: Supervise the construction works on site, instructing construction related personnel to ensure quality, timely and safe work practices.Ensure safe execution of the work at all times and manage construction teams productivity on site.Enforce the instructed methods of construction as defined in the method statements and procedures, ensuring best safe practices during all operations.Plan and supervise the short term site works: requirements and requisitions, deliveries, installations, utilities…Produce 1 week look ahead detailed programs.Monitor the relevant construction works including:Establish records: checklist and registers for the equipment and plant on site.Checking and keeping records of delivered material, to ensure all materials used on site are in line with the specification. To include adequate checks on subcontractor materialsEnsure that the works are carried out in accordance with the RAMS.Support the site personnel during the execution of the works.Ensure that the area is clear once works are completed.Produce and maintain daily record of progress of all construction activities on site (including personnel attendances, equipment problems, safety issues and improvements).Ensure compliance with requirements outlined in the Construction Management Plan and relevant WIs.Management and coordinate subcontractor’s works and associated documentation, ensuring effective use of materials and control of waste.
