Job description

We are seeking to appoint a well organised, flexible and experienced administrator to join our small and friendly finance team. If you believe you have the qualities and skills we require and you would enjoy working in a school-based environment, then we would love to hear from you! Previous school experience is not necessary but would be an advantage.

The post holder will join a shared office in our new main building, with one other Finance Administrator and the Finance & Personnel Manager. We are able to offer this post as part-time or full-time hours for the right candidate. However, hours would need to be between 30-37 per week, Monday-Friday.

Our finance team play a significant role in the smooth running of the school and carry out finance processing in line with the school's financial regulations and procedures, ensuring accuracy, compliance and best practice. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Finance & Personnel Manager, the Director of Finance & Operations, and the Assistant Headteacher in charge of External Visits. We run regular off site activities for pupils and a large proportion of your work will be to lead on the administrative support given to the Assistant Headteacher and other staff leading the activities.

This is a permanent post, working 30-37 hours per week, term-time only + 5 INSET days.

The starting salary for this post is Grade 14 Point 4-6 £23,114-£23,893 of the Support Staff Pay Scale. This is the full-time equivalent figures, per annum, and the point you start on will depend on your experience. Your actual salary will be calculated based on your part-time hours.
