Catering Manager | Great Wakering | Enhanced DBS | ASAP Start
Mango solutions are supporting an educational facility wirth their search for a Catering Manager. Responsibilities In charge of ensuring the effective operation of the catering service, overseeing the planning, preparation, and presentation of food and beverages to meet specified standards within the budget parameters agreed upon with the school management. Also, responsible for upholding superior levels of personnel management, hygiene, and health and safety. To oversee the preparation and presentation of all food in accordance with statutory regulations and school standards. To ensure that preparation and presentation methods align with recognized catering standards and comply with current food safety legislation. To manage the ordering of raw materials and supplies, verify deliveries, and ensure proper storage of both raw and cooked food. To supervise cooking staff, ensuring they follow recipe specifications and nutritional guidelines in meal preparation. To enforce adherence to portion standard yields as specified in recipes and required by the school. To monitor menu planning and ordering, ensuring alignment with established guidelines. To ensure timely service of all meals, breaks, and functions as directed by the Headteacher. To implement local promotions and theme days as needed. To conduct all catering activities within the pre-agreed school budget. To address and act upon any feedback, positive or otherwise, regarding the catering operation. To plan, implement, and review a cycle of nutritionally balanced menus, adjusting as instructed by the Headteacher. To make menu adjustments by eliminating unpopular or costly items. To procure all supplies through approved suppliers and report any unresolved issues with suppliers to the Headteacher. To manage stock control and rotation. To occasionally coordinate special functions, even outside of normal working hours.
