Salary guide $85,000 p.a

Join our established integrated engineering client in Sydney, a leader in the industry responsible for over 3,000 pivotal projects across various sectors, including defence, aerospace, commercial marine, and oil & gas. Currently seeking a CNC machinist, you will be immersed in precision machining and manufacturing processes, contributing to many diverse projects and innovative solutions. Within the small collaborative team, the work will be varied, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills across workshop operations.

Role and Responsibilities

As a CNC Machinist with our company, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing and production processes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating, setting up, and programming CNC Lathes & Mills, with proficiency in FANUC operating software (non-conversational programming).
• Following and interpreting technical drawings to ensure precise machining.
• Conducting drilling, tapping, and machining on manual lathes.

Other general workshop activities may include, as required

• Deburring, engraving, and cleaning components to meet quality standards.
• Efficiently packing, storing, and handling materials and components.
• Participating in the assembly of valves.
• Performing brazing and sandblasting procedures as required.
• Conducting hydrotesting and pneumatic testing according to project specifications.
• Willingness to undertake any other work reasonably required by a supervisor to support the team's objectives.

Work hours:

• Flexible start and finish times.

• You can set your start and finish times within this framework to accommodate your schedule, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
• The standard working week is 38 hours.

Your Skills and Experience

• All levels of experience considered, from trainee apprentice up to seasoned machinist

N.B. You must hold full, unrestricted and ongoing rights to work in Australia to be eligible for this role.
