Maxwell Stephens, in collaboration with our esteemed client, is seeking an exceptional General Manager to spearhead operational excellence and elevate the student experience at a leading academic institution.

Position: General Manager

Salary: Competitive

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours)

Location: London

Reports to: National Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the on-site FM team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with university stakeholders, ensuring service delivery surpasses SLAs and enhances student satisfaction.

• Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day FM services, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• Financial Management: Manage budgets effectively to achieve financial objectives while delivering high-quality services.

• Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, prioritising the safety and well-being of all stakeholders.

Role Requirements:

• Experience: Proven track record in senior stakeholder engagement and business management, ideally within higher education. Experience in FM services is highly desirable.

• Qualifications: Degree-level education or equivalent experience.

• Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in business and financial management. Computer literacy is essential.
