We work closely with a prestigious, independent school in Wembley who require excellent supply teaching assistants to work within their Early Years Department. This is the perfect opportunity for individuals with experience of working with Early Years to pick up flexible, daily supply shifts that work around their personal schedule.
Overview of role:
You will be working within the schools' Early Years Department with children aged between 3-4 years and your responsibilities will include:
- Working alongside the lead teacher
- Assisting with lesson preparation by getting learning materials ready and setting up equipment, doing copies and materials preparation
- Ensure the learning environment is safe & clean and the children's needs are met, including personal care
- Oversee students during non-classroom times including recess and lunch time
- Identify/anticipate issues and recommend solutions
- Report incidents on CPOMS
- Help incorporate the mission and values of the school into the classroom
The ideal candidate will be:
- Level 2 or 3 qualification with experience in a similar role
- Be knowledgeable about child development
- Open minded and creative
- Strong ability to work as a team
- Possess the initiative and willingness to help students across various situations
- Ability to manage the classroom through positive discipline
