Bailey Employment Services Ltd is an employment business recruiting on behalf of our client.
Our client is a very busy franchise business operating both pallet network logistics and General Haulage logistics from their depot in the YO23 postcode area just South of the A64. The business relies on night trunk drivers taking goods to the hub at the end of each day and returning with goods from the hub for daytime distribution in our region.
We are looking for a suitable driver to cover ad hoc bookings for holiday and illness absence with this client. Some of the bookings may be at short notice due to the nature of the cover required. There may also be periods of time when there may be no work available.
The applicant must have a CE entitlement on their license which they must have held for a minimum of 2 years for insurance purposes. No more than 6 minor points would be considered and no DR or DD endorsements would be accepted for insurance reasons.
Pay:
The work will be to cover 5 nights of a week, Monday to Friday. Start times may vary from 16.30 early trunk, to 18.00 trunk to 18.30 or 19.00 late trunk. The successful candidate must be conscientious and manage their driving breaks to rest at the hub and must have good customer-facing skills and good communication skills. Previous trunk driving experience would be an advantage but is not necessary for this role.
