A great opportunity for an experienced Marketing & Events Coordinator a varied role, and no two days will be the same. Supporting the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will organise and manage all events including, but not limited to, staff events and sales events. Being part of a friendly and professional team.
You will work with colleagues globally, it can be challenging with needing to meet many deadlines, but this also provides the opportunity to be creative, work to your own projects but with the support of the team.
The team’s activities cover the normal marketing functions, digital communications, graphic design, logistics, communications, advertising, sponsorships, corporate gifts, event and project management covering sales events, roadshows, exhibitions, staff parties e.g., Jubilee party with live bands, fireworks display, axe throwing and fairgrounds stalls to formal Hollywood themed Christmas parties at exclusive venues to BBQs and Halloween activities at the HQ.
Responsibilities of the Marketing & Events Coordinator :
Project management of all events, exhibitions, roadshows, conferences, internal/external events meeting all deadlines
Ability to travel to manage events within the UK and internationally when required
Work closely with internal stakeholders to plan, hold meetings, design, book, organise the collateral, manage the budget, equipment, stands, organise all logistics and promotions for events
Assist with the production of the events budget
To remain within budget and deliver budgetary updates post each event
Managing and overseeing events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, safety, communicating with staff, and organising vendors, whether on site or remotely
Assist the Marketing and Communications Manager in the management – work with supplier (s) to source, brand and distribute gifting within specified budget and on time, to meet the requirements of Management, Sales and for specific events and campaigns
Where required to update the company intranet, company website and other electronic media as required ensuring it is kept up to date with the latest events, products and services
Personal specification for the Marketing & Events Coordinator:
- Car driver or live in Redhill
- Must have lived in the UK for 5 years or longer for security clearance
To be able to hit the ground running
Proven experience in event planning or event coordination in a corporate environment
Track record of creative, successful events
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Must be proactive and ability to manage own time effectively with good telephone manner
Experience with graphics packages that include Photoshop and InDesign/Canva, not essential but desired.
Willingness and ability to learn quickly
Intermediate level or above with Word/PowerPoint/Excel
