Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Fixed term Maternity Cover, 1 year or return of post holder (whichever is sooner)

Salary: £27,707.28 - £36,172.26 per annum (£13,853.64 - £18,086.13 actual salary)

Based at our Stephenson Campus

The SMB College Group is a highly successful FE college, formed of two merged and reputable colleges – Stephenson College and Brooksby Melton College. Specialising in land-based, technical, trade and creative arts, we provide an extensive curriculum from Agriculture to Animal Care, Construction to Sport, Hair & Beauty to Care. We are an innovative and highly responsive centre for education and training with campuses in Coalville, Melton Mowbray and Brooksby. An exciting opportunity has arisen at the College for two Distance Learning Lecturer to join the team based in Leicestershire with the ability to deliver across the full range of the department's provision. You will have a passion for innovation, bringing new ideas and embedding new technologies into the learning environment.

Working as part of the Distance Learning team you will be responsible for the delivery and development of courses. You will possess an excellent knowledge and understanding of Distance Learning and be able to plan and use a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning techniques.

As well as your relevant experience and current knowledge of health and social care or business, you will also be willing to obtain a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent) if you do not already possess one.
