Job description
Sugarman Health and Wellbeing is currently seeking a Care Assistant to provide care and support to Service Users with Learning Disabilities and/or Clinical Care needs in their own homes around the Leeds Area. Our patients is female with acquired complex conditions such as learning disability, osteoarthritis, cataracts, and a PBS plan in place to enable staff to manage her anxiety.
We are recruiting for individuals with Excellent interpersonal skills, resiliency, and an eagerness to make a real difference in someone's life are all key to being successful in this role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for care professionals with an interest in specific complex conditions who want to develop their skills and knowledge whilst gaining experience.
In return you would become an essential part of his life and make an impact promoting their independence and daily life activities in the safest manner possible and become part of our existing care team in fulfilling this exciting role.

- Hourly Rate: £11.50 up to £12.50
- Sleep rate hourly £9.50
- Starting pay Days shifts Monday to Sunday £11.50ph weekdays and Weekend days
- Starting pay Night shifts Monday to Sunday £12.50ph weekdays Nights and Weekend Nights
- Package Location: Yeadon, Leeds.
- Shifts Available: Monday to Thursday 7am to 9.30am & 3pm to 10pm, sleep shift from 10pm to 7am,
- Shifts Available: Friday 7am to 9.30am, 9.30am to 10pm, sleep shift from 10pm to 7am
- Shifts Available: Saturday & Sunday 7am to 9.30am, 9.30am to 10pm, sleep shift from 10pm to 7am

Main Responsibilities of a Health Care Assistant
- Flexible in working both days and/or nights over a 4 weekly Rota period
- Moving and Handling
- Personal Care
- Prepping and cooking meals
- Supporting and maintaining all clinical needs
- Enabling a varied independent life outside of the home including supporting a social life in the community.
- Able to drive a mobility van
- Nonsmoking/vaping
- Enabling an active lifestyle
- Bowel management/care

Experience/Skills Required for this Health Care Assistant role:
- Minimum 6th months experience required in Health Care
- Willingness to undertake training
- Strong communication skills in English language
- Ability to undertake clinical care in the community
- Provide high standards of care, particularly hygiene, dignity, confidentiality
- Demonstrate best clinical practice
- Working in someone's home ensuring it must always feel like their home
- Attention to detail for productive results
- Positive attitude at all times.
