Job description
Unfortunately at this time we are unable to offer sponsorship to overseas workers. All applicants must have the Right to work in the UK
Your role
As a domiciliary care assistant you'll offer your time, care, compassion, and a friendly smile to our customers in their own homes making 'home the best place to live'
You'll get to know our customers, their likes, dislikes, their history and aspirations, their little quirks that make them unique to build an excellent relationship.
You'll work in the community supporting customers with all aspects of day to day living, so they can enjoy the best possible quality of life. Then there's companionship visits too, maybe watching a movie together, looking through an old photo album or cooking together. No two days are ever the same.
Good communication skills and a calm and caring manner are essential for all community care assistants.
Key responsibility
Safely provide compassionate care and support that is centred on the individual needs and wishes of each customer. Respect customers’ choices and promote their independence dignity at all times.
You may be the only person the customer sees over a period of time, it is therefore essential to make a difference to their day, engage in chat and make them feel part of their care.
You need to be clear about when to seek help and advice in order to keep customers safe and promote their well-being.
