Operational Health and Safety Manager | Scotland

£700 per day (outside IR35)

Irwin and Colton have partnered with a Global leader in the Chemicals Manufacturing industry to recruit and Interim Operational Health and Safety Manager. The organisation delivers innovative solutions within the energy sector. The position will be embedded within one of the organisations major frameworks, taking an operational lead across the SHE function and managing a small team.

The responsibilities of the Operational Health and Safety Manger will be:

• Assist with the delivery and rollout of the operational Management system across the framework project
• Monitor Key performance indicators across the project, identifying areas for improvement and providing solutions to ensure best practice
• Helping with the development of Safety Case Reports, and other related documentation and reporting in line with HSE requirements
• Leading a team of operational safety advisor, acting as an escalation point for all SHE related queries

The successful Operational Health and Safety Manger will have:

• Proven Operational experince working within petrochemical sites, or other related industries
• Demonstratable experience managing a team of experienced SHE professionals, and the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
• NEBOSH or NVQ Diploma qualified, and ideally hold CMIOSH
• A strong technical knowledge across relevant Health and Safety legislation
