Ibis Rotherham are looking for a Part time Multi-Skilled and flexible Maintenance Team Member to join the team for 16 hours per week with the potential to go to full time (39 per week) in the future. The role includes general maintenance of the building including painting.
As a multi-skilled Maintenance Team Member you will predominantly provide maintenance expertise and support, ensuring the smooth running of the Hotels technical installations.
Main duties for this role will include:
- To ensure through careful observation and routine checking that the electrical, plumbing, fixtures fittings and general maintenance of the Hotel are kept in accordance with Company standards, legal requirements and guest comfort.
- Undertake and manage various general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electricity, heating, carpentry and decorating
- Conduct routine inspection of premises and equipment and handle basic repairs and maintenance requirements.
- Inspecting building structures, equipment and assets performing reactive and preventive maintenance.
- Perform tasks and deliver service with the highest level of discretion, aiming for minimal disruption and inconvenience for guests and visitors
- Actively seek to contribute to the comfort of guests and visitors
- Remain proactive and approach tasks and requests with a can-do-attitude
- Handle basic repairs and maintenance; coordinate and oversee contractors and external providers ensuring they work in relation to service agreements and procedures
- Install, inspect and troubleshoot equipment, appliances and systems
- Maintain and replace heating and distribution systems as and when required
- Liaise with and supervise contractors and external providers to carry out work activities
- Assist in record keeping and keep daily log of repairs and maintenance of assets and equipment
- Respects Accor's Legionnaires' disease directive, Apply the Hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc) , Champion the Hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc)
Whilst the role is to focus upon Maintenance we have incorporated the learning and development in other operational areas to support other hotel departments. We require a flexible and adaptable approach to the role, where the ideal candidate will be able to help other departments for example Reception and Food and Beverage as required.
We require flexibility and the ideal candidate to be available to work different working hours to accommodate to business requirements.
Working Hours & Salary:
16 hours per week over 2 days - varied working days and times - this has the potential to lead to a full time position
£13.20 per hour
Work Experience Who are we looking for?
