Job description

The role
We are looking to recruit an experienced Income Officer to join our Accounts Receivables team. If you’re proactive, customer focused and care about what you do we want to hear from you.

Accounts Receivable sits in the Financial Services business unit of Oxford City Council, forming part of the Revenues Team. The successful candidate will join our small, dedicated team, working primarily from home and the Town Hall in Oxford.

Our primary function is to deliver a comprehensive income collection service for a range of charges which include, commercial rent, garden waste, trade waste and various types of sundry debt. You will be required to manage an area/s of debt, taking appropriate action in accordance with the Council’s collection policies and procedures. This will include resolving customer issues to facilitate prompt payments, negotiating sustainable repayment plans and resolving bad debt.
