Job description

Job Title: Telehandler Operator

Location: Ashford, Kent

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Telehandler Operator to join our client's team in Ashford, Kent. The ideal candidate will possess a valid CPCS or NPORS card and have previous experience operating telehandlers in a construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a telehandler to transport materials and equipment around the construction site.
• Assist with site logistics, including loading and unloading materials as required.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the telehandler to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe operating procedures.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
• Report any equipment defects or safety hazards to the site supervisor immediately.

Requirements:

• Valid CPCS or NPORS card for operating telehandlers.
• Previous experience operating telehandlers in a construction environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to construction sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform manual tasks as required.
