Interim Social Worker – Adult Community Team

Job Ref: NNC (HQ) 16475

Pay Rate: Up to £26.00 per hour PAYE depending on experience

Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours

Role Length: This opening assignment is for 4-5 months

City: Wellingborough

Enhanced DBS disclosure required for this role

The purpose of the role is to work on Duty as part of the community Team the front door to Adult Social Care screening all referrals coming in to the team, screening safeguarding concerns and enquiries as required, signposting and offering advice, screening requests for reviews of packages of care, screening EMAS concerns and PPN.

Completing duty visits and attending ARM, Safeguarding Section 42 meetings or Ward round over Teams.

Qualifications:

A nationally recognised social work qualification.
Current or expected registration with social work England.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 12 months in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous experience.
Demonstrate effective risk assessment and risk management experience.
Experience in delivery of clinical interventions.
Significant experience, modelling good practice and providing advice and guidance in complex situations.
Ability to mentor both newly qualified and experienced team members.
Comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations and guidance.
Ability to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework for vulnerable people.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
